We copy and process the data that we hold into a range of formats to maximise their use and compatibility.

We make regular backup copies of our datasets, keep archive versions and maintain an index of meta-data to describe and support our data holdings.

We take reasonable measures to prevent any unauthorised access to data we hold.

Where we judge that the release of data might not be in the interest of our aims, we restrict their availability to those that need to know, to reduce the risk of any damage.
